At the heart of every stay is the thermal suite. Monart’s state-of-the-art thermal area is the reason a stay here feels unlike anywhere else. Built around ancient heating-and-cooling bathing rituals, it unfolds as a journey through nine thermal rooms, each a different way to warm, cool and restore the body.

Begin on the heated benches and footbaths that stimulate pressure points and relieve stress as you start the relaxation process, moving through our salt grotto, aromatic eucalyptus steam room and experience showers designed to cleanse, soften, stimulate and invigorate.

Our unique caldarium, with its peaceful views of the lake and waterfall, provides guests with a dry warmth that’s perfect for easing stress, tension and any aches and pains.

For a more intense dry heat, the traditional Finnish sauna tones the skin and leaves you loose and glowing. While the infra-red pro works deeper again, its light reaches into muscle tension across the upper and lower back.

Guests can also brave the outdoor log-cabin sauna and the ice-bucket shower; then sink into the 55-square-metre hydrotherapy pool, where nine water-jet stations work quietly along tired muscles.

Between each experience the relaxation rooms wait, and there is no clock anywhere to hurry you. Most guests walk the circuit more than once a day; and few are ready to leave it.
